Alliance for Land Right South Sudan – ALRSS handed over land documents/titles to vulnerable communities in Wau.

The support funded by Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA) and implemented by ALRSS in the Bahr el Ghazal Region benefited 121 beneficiaries, including vulnerable women/people, IDPs, and the elderly.

The beneficiaries who received their land titles thanked NPA and ALRSS for their support “I thank the area chief who told those without land titles to come forward for assistance and I thank these organizations (NPA and ALRSS) because they managed to process our land documents”. 

On the behave of the Ministry of Land Housing and Public Utilities Mr. John Epolito Hassan urges the beneficiaries who received their land titles to take good care of their land titles and not to sell their lands.

Owning a Land title remains an issue in Bahr el Ghazal and South Sudan at large, the most vulnerable persons find it hard to own a land title in the Country due to the rampant land grabbing happening in the Country.
